Hey Its Cold in Here

Its been a while since I have last checked in....my energy levels were so low I hadn't had a chance to write...glad things are picking up; even had the opportunity to help my wife make dinner the other night so that was nice.

We had our first ultrasound visit with the OB before Thanksgiving; although it was an incredible experience to see our little one moving around and watching the heart beat it was, to say the least UNCOMFORTABLE. First I had to wait for a good 20 minutes and all they had in the waiting room were some outdated People Magazines. I did learn that Willie Ames (Buddy Lembeck) of Charles In Charge fame is getting his life back together. So I am happy for him. Then we go into the examining room and it was just hard to get comfortable: the padding on my chair was not very soft, the doctor didn't really ask how I was feeling, and it was FREEZING! Major draft in here...I mean can I get a blanket or something in here?

Oh Hamburgers!

in the last 8 days I have had 6 Hamburgers....I don't care. Its what I want and they taste so good. This time is all about Im Pregnant Too. I want to eat what I want. I want to be pampered. I want some "me" time before this baby comes. Tonight its just me, a bubble bath, a good book, and a Quarter Pounder with Cheese...Calgon Take me Away

That's What Friends Are For

One thing I have learned so far throughout this pregnancy is that everyone wants to chime in and offer their advice. It is difficult to sort through what is valuable and what is not. I have relied on a trusted few when I really needed a question answered; and I am even grateful when those same friends provide some sound unsolicited advice. My wife and I were recently discussing daycare options and how we were fortunate that one of the options we were investigating was near my office and provided formula for infants; thus I would be charged with the responsibility of dropping off and picking up the little one. Word traveled quickly and one of these trusted friends, Neil Ave. Dad, spoke up on my behalf:

"I would like to file an official protest on behalf of I'm Pregnant Too. There is nothing for (his wife) to do if (I'm Pregnant Too) handles drop off and pick up from daycare and they even make all the bottles. Where is the equality in this new venture? I think (his wife) needs to find a way to show special gratitude to I'm Pregnant Too. Note this message does not reflect the views and opinion of my wife, I'm Lazy Too"-Neil Ave. Dad

Thank You Neil Ave. Dad...During a stressful pregnancy, its good to have a friend to lean on-That's What Friends are For.

Strange Cravings

(Above: I'm Pregnant Too and his friends discuss prenatal care over Supreme flavored Pizza Rolls)

I have always been a fan of the Totinos family of products. Their original Crisp Crust Party Pizza boasts a light and a flaky crust unparalleled by any other pizza found in your local grocery freezer. It is the Pizza Roll however that has cemented Totinos atop the snack food chain. I have long been a fan of Totinos Pizza Rolls, but ever since getting pregnant it has gone to a whole new level…

Last night nothing sounded good to eat. This has been a problem lately as food just is no interest to me. Then out of no where I got this incredible CRAVING for some Pizza Rolls. Fortunately there is never a shortage of these delectable bite-size pizza pockets in the I’m Pregnant Too household. I plopped 10 of them on a plate nuked them at 2 minutes and enjoyed! Oooh and to make this CRAVING stranger, I felt the need to dip them in Bleu Cheese Dressing. Oh well whatever works...Thank you Totinos! You have brought my appetite back!

Exhausted

Lately I have just been absolutely exhausted when I get home from work. It is hard coming to grips with coming home and just not wanting to do anything. The other day I just plopped on the couch with a warm blanket and watched 3 episodes of MacGyver. This was the first time I saw the episode where MacGyver teamed up with his Arch-Nemesis Murdock in order to save Murdock’s sister from a group of organized assassins. It is frustrating not having any energy, but MacGyver certainly makes it much better! Oh and total Bonus: Melissa brought me home some take out! Hey maybe being pregnant and exhausted isn’t so bad afterall.

Getting Comfortable

Last night was so uncomfortable...I know it is only 8 weeks but already I am having trouble getting in the right position to fall asleep. Melissa kept sticking her leg on to my side and I was just really annoyed. I hope this gets easier!
